Cicada nypmhs emerging in our lawn on evening of May 13, 2004.

The blades of grass can be seen moving as cicada nymphs emerge inches apart from the ground. Nymphs can also be see crawling up individual leaf blades. The large numbers indicated in this movie was typical of most evenings during the peak week of Brood X emergence.
