Ray plans to graduate in May 2014 with a B.S. in Biology with Honors. His research in Curtis Lively’s lab focuses on the evolution of sexual reproduction. Ray contributed to a paper, written with Levi Morran, Olivia Schmidt, Ian Gelarden, and Curt Lively, which appeared in the journal, Science. The paper, “Running with the Red Queen: Host-parasite coevolution selects for bi-parental sex,” will serve as the basis of an episode of the Discovery Science Channel’s show, Through the Wormhole, that is scheduled to air later this year during the show’s fourth season. Raymond is a Herman B Wells Scholar, has appeared on the Dean’s List, is an IU Founders Scholar, and is an IU Valedictorian Scholar.
