Drew plans to graduate in May 2014 with a B.S. in Biology and minors in chemistry and mathematics. He joined Professor James Bever’s research team in 2012. He is working on a set of greenhouse experiments examining a range of issues related to interactions between prairie plant species and soil microbes. This research will be the basis for his senior thesis. In the summer of 2011 he worked at a summer day camp where he led children on hikes, teaching them about nature, the plant life they encountered, camping, and conservation. This led to his interest in plant and forest ecology.
