Gina Gordon, 2013 Fox Glen Research and Education Fund Scholar

Gina also received the Biology Undergraduate Research Award in 2013. She was a member of Jake McKinlay’s lab where she studied the role of the Calvin cycle in purple non-sulfur bacteria. The paper Gina wrote on the topic is being submitted for publication with her as the first author. She plans to earn a Ph.D. in Microbiology and hopes to become a professor running her own research lab.
