Alan Hyslop graduated in May 2012 with a B.S. in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. He spent his first year of school at IUPUI. Alan received an IUPUI Academic Excellence Scholarship, and IUPUI Honors Scholarship, and a Hutton International Experiences Program Scholarship. Here on the Bloomington campus, Alan was a Founders Scholar two years in a row, on the Dean’s List (here and at IUPUI), and a Hutton Honors Scholar. In 2011, he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honorary Society. Alan did ovarian cancer research in Kenneth Nephew’s laboratory. He is now enrolled at the IU School of Medicine and is interested in a career in internal medicine.
