Carolyn Spratford received this award for her work with Adam Zlotnick’s H111 – H112 Introductory Biology course, a first-year Honors class with a strong research component, taught through the College of Arts and Sciences’ Integrated Freshman Learning Experience Program. Carrie, whose own research is in a different area, quickly mastered protein structure and molecular graphics in order to support the students in the H111 – H112 computational labs. For the wet labs, she ran experiments that Adam had suggested, testing these experiments, and converting them into highly detailed protocols.
