Jing Xu, 2012 Roessler Scholar
Jing Xu is earning her Ph.D. in Microbiology. A member of Clay Fuqua’s laboratory, her research focuses on the regulation of the production and localization of a polysaccharide-based adhesive material produced by a plant pathogenic microbe. She has been an Associate Instructor for Microbiology Laboratory; Microorganism Laboratory; and Microbial Physiology and Biochemistry. Jing has mentored one undergraduate student in the lab and two doctoral-rotation students. She has co-authored articles that have appeared in Journal of Bacteriology; Molecular Microbiology; and Chinese Hepatology. Jing earned her undergraduate degree in Basic Medical Science from Fudan University in 2005.
