How to Apply

Graduate student applications for this departmental award are being accepted during the fall semester. The application deadline is Monday, December 10, 2012.

To apply, fill out and save the application form using Adobe Reader. Email Kathy Wyss if you plan to apply for a fellowship(s) and tell her who your faculty recommender will be. A separate secure Oncourse project drop box will be created for you and each of your recommenders. Each of you will receive an email containing a link to your drop box so that your materials (completed application packet for the student, letter of recommendation for the faculty member) can be uploaded. Recipients of this award will be recognized at a departmental ceremony held on Friday, April 26, 2013, at 3:30 p.m.

David G. Frey Memorial Fund Award

The award, which was established in 1992, honors the memory of limnologist David G. Frey. This was established by his wife, Sarah Elizabeth Frey.

Eligible:

Graduate students working in the area of conservation ecology who are doing summer field research on fragmentation and timber and wildlife management activities on nongame animals.

Award:

$2,000

Special Application Materials:

Submit all materials listed on the application form.

Up to three letters of support must be submitted separately by your faculty member(s).
