Walter Konetzka Fellowship
The award honors the late Professor Konetzka’s commitment to teaching and research. It was established in 1993 by his wife, Lillian, his colleagues, friends, and former students.
Eligible:
First preference to graduate students in Microbiology with superb teaching abilities and strong research skills.
Second preference to graduate students majoring in MCDB, Genetics, or Biochemistry if their research is in the area of Microbiology and they have the requisite teaching skills.

$2000
Notes:
Award can be used to provide summer support for a student writing a doctoral thesis.
Special Application Materials:
Submit all materials listed on the application form.
Up to three letters of support must be submitted separately by your faculty member(s).
