How to Apply

Graduate student applications for this departmental award are being accepted during the fall semester. The application deadline is Monday, December 10, 2012.

To apply, fill out and save the application form using Adobe Reader. Email Kathy Wyss if you plan to apply for a fellowship(s) and tell her who your faculty recommender will be. A separate secure Oncourse project drop box will be created for you and each of your recommenders. Each of you will receive an email containing a link to your drop box so that your materials (completed application packet for the student, letter of recommendation for the faculty member) can be uploaded. Recipients of this award will be recognized at a departmental ceremony held on Friday, April 26, 2013, at 3:30 p.m.

Milton Taylor Fellowship in Virology

This fellowship was created in 2000 by alum Lawrence Blatt, Ph.D., to honor his former teacher and mentor, Professor Milton Taylor.

Eligible:

First preference given to graduate students in the Department of Biology or the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry on the IUB campus who are engaged in Virology Research.

Second preference given to IUB graduate students majoring in Microbiology.

Award:

$3,000.

Note:

Currently provides summer support.

Up to three letters of support must be submitted separately by your faculty member(s).
