Biotechnology Graduate Program

We welcome your interests in the Biotechnology program at Indiana University and wish to encourage you to investigate our program further.

This is a very exciting time to be involved in Biotechnology in Indiana.  In recent years, the state of Indiana has emphasized Biotechnology as a major source of economic growth.  Because of this emphasis, Indiana now ranks as one of the nations top four states in both the number and concentration of life science jobs according to the 2006 Battelle Report.  And while the state of Indiana is among the leaders in the field, the Biotechnology boom is global.  In 2006, biotech companies spent over $27 billion dollars on research alone and these numbers are expected to increase in the coming years.

The MS Biotechnology program at Indiana University offers students the unique opportunity to gain both theoretical knowledge and technical skills that will make them marketable in the various Biotechnology fields. Malcolm Winkler
