Sears Crowell Scholarship
This scholarship was established in the 1980s to honor Professor Emeritus P. Sears Crowell, Jr. The scholarship allows a student to attend a summer field station, preferably marine, approved by the Department of Biology.
Eligible:
Any junior, senior, or graduate student in the Department of Biology.Criteria:
Available to students enrolling in an internship program or course, preferably marine, at a field station.Award:
$1,000 for undergraduate juniors/seniors, $1,000 for graduate studentsSpecial Application Materials:
Submit all materials listed on the application form plus a statement detailing: your career goals, how the summer field station will help you achieve those goals, and the expenses involved in the field station.
A letter of support must be submitted separately by a faculty member.
