Microbiology Undergraduate Summer Research Program
Established by Professor Emeritus L. S. McClung and his friends in 1989. This award provides funding to a Microbiology student performing L490 or its equivalent research on the Bloomington campus during Summer Session 2013.
Eligible:
Microbiology students enrolled in at least one hour of L490 (or CHEM-C409 or MSCI-M450) on the Bloomington campus during Summer Session 2013.
Criteria:
First preference given to recipients of the L. S. McClung Scholarship; other highly qualified Microbiology students are also eligible. Award recipient must write a paper in the form of a publishable manuscript. (Paper must define a hypothesis; describe why this is important; propose an experimental test of the hypothesis; carry out the experiment and interpret the results and impact of the evaluation of the hypothesis; and finally, propose future work.)

Submit all materials listed on the application form, plus a brief description of your research.
The faculty member with whom you work should submit separately a letter evaluating your research.
