Pre-Med and Pre-Professional

Many of our majors are planning to attend a professional program such as medical, dental, optometry, veterinary, pharmacy, or law school once they have earned their undergraduate degree. If you have any questions about any of these disciplines or an area in allied health, please contact the Health Professions and Prelaw Center for additional information. They have listings of pre-requisites, testing information, and volunteer opportunities as well as advising and preparation courses for the MCAT, LSAT, etc. Their web site has a wealth of information also.

Employment and Careers

For part time or full time employment as both work-study and non-work study and for both on and off campus employment, please contact the Career Development Center. Jobs in Biology (work-study and hourly) are listed through the "Job and Internships Listings" on the Career Development Center website.  For positions that are currently available in the Biology department, please see the listings which are posted in Jordan Hall 142.

The American Institute for Biological Sciences has a nice set of career FAQs, as well as employment classified ads for positions around the country.
