Lingling Chen
Associate Professor, Indiana University Bloomington
Ph.D., Stanford University, 1996
Postdoctoral Fellow, Yale University, 1996-2000 |
|
Welcome
to the Chen lab, a part of the department of biology at Indiana
University Bloomington located in beautiful southern Indiana. Our major
research interest is to understand the roles of protein-protein
interactions in specific cellular processes, to elucidate the
structural basis underlying specific protein functions, and to provide
mechanistic insights into modulations of biological functions, using an
array of biochemical and biophysical techniques, including molecular
biology, combinatorial biology, and X-ray crystallography.
The
members of our group have diverse background including biology,
biochemistry and chemistry, forming a truely dynamic reseach team.
Students and postdoctoral fellows with appropriate background are
highly welcome to apply for positions in the group at any time.

James
Melankos who has been working in the lab for almost two years will
leave for Japan for his language study. He will probably come back to
IU to continue his Ph.D study in medical school one year later.
