International Research Resource Centers at Indiana University
IUB is the home of three resource centers used by Drosophila researchers everywhere. Each center has a staff of scientists specializing in an important aspect of Drosophila research. Consequently, IUB has a depth of expertise in fly genetics matched by few other institutions. Researchers at IUB have ready access to these resources.
-
Bloomington Drosophila Stock Center - A living stock collection with over 25,000 genetically defined strains of D. melanogaster.
-
Drosophila Genomics Resource Center- An extensive collection of DNA clones and Drosophila cell lines, and producer of microarrays.
-
FlyBase - An informatics resource that provides genetic and genomic information on the Drosophilidae.
