It appears that Prymaat moved on to California after relaxing in Florida. She began her California travels in San Diego where she spent several afternoons learning to fly hang gliders off the cliffs near the Salk Institute. In the mornings, she was apparently consulting with scientists at both the Salk and Scripp's Institute. After she felt that she had conquered hang gliding, Prymaat headed north. She was seen at the "Comedy Store" in LA where she apparently new some of the people who worked there. She was also seen having lunch with Dan Aykroyd in Beverly Hills. Prymaat eventually made her way to Berkeley where she was seen frequenting various coffee shops talking to graduate students from different Arabidopsis laboratories.
