This is the first "hostage" photo we received. There was nothing else in the envelope with the photo. According to the postmark on the envelope, the photo was mailed from Madison, WI where ASS suspected Prymaat had been abducted to. Although Prymaat appeared to be happy in the photo, foul play was still suspected at the time. The ASS crime lab found traces of gunpowder and cheese on the envelope. This led to the suspicion that the alleged kidnappers were armed and probably in Wisconsin. The ASS lab failed to find fingerprints other than those of postal workers. Now that it is appears as though Prymaat was not kidnapped, ASS suspects that the gunpowder residue was probably from disgruntled poster workers.
