Preface

The Conehead family of Beldar, his wife Prymaat and daughter Connie, began working with Arabidopsis in 1993 and attended their first Arabidopsis meeting that same year in Columbus, OH. Many Arabidopsis researchers had the opportunity to meet this interesting family at the meeting. Unfortunately, near the end of the meeting, Prymat disappeared much to the surprise of all of those who knew her.

These pages present a brief recounting of the Conehead family and the surprising breakup of the family at the 1993 Arabidopsis Congress in Columbus, OH. The actual events described in these pages differ in some places from the Hollywood version depicted in the 1993 film "The Coneheads".

Please note that certain aspects of Prymaat's story are still being researched and are not yet complete.
