An Inquiry Workshop for High School Science Teachers

The Summer Research Institute will not be held in2008.

Inquiry-based teaching inspires students and gives them an understanding of how science is actually done. The focus of the Two Week SRI will be on the challenges and needs of the participants. The group will address the obstacles to learning that the teachers have encountered in their classrooms. New ideas and approaches will be explored. The time in the research laboratory will provide rekindling of enthusiasm for the teachers as they develop inquiry-based methods to take back to their classrooms.
