The student who has provided you this form is applying for participation in one of the Jim Holland Summer Science Programs on the Indiana University Bloomington campus. The application process requires recommendations from two teachers who are capable of judging the academic promise of the student. Students being considered for participation should have a sincere interest in science and in attending a college or university—and are academically on track to do so.
Holland Summer Science Programs teacher form
The student must meet the following requirements for the particular Holland program to which the student is applying:
Jim Holland Summer Enrichment Program (SEP)
- Currently in grade 8, 9, or 10 (entering grade 9, 10, or 11 in the fall)
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 (non-weighted)
Jim Holland Summer Science Research Program (SSRP)
- Currently in grade 9, 10, or 11 (entering grade 10, 11, or 12 in the fall)
- Minimum GPA of 3.2 (non-weighted)
Jim Holland Research Initiative in STEM Education (RISE)
- Currently in grade 11 (entering grade 12 in the fall)
- Minimum GPA of 3.2 (non-weighted)
Please submit the recommendation form by the deadline date: Friday, April 10, 2026.
Late forms will eliminate the student from consideration.
